DESCRIPTION:\nAbout this event\n\n\n\n\n\n\nYardley Fest for the Vets: A Community Oktoberfest held by the American Legion Post 317.\nPremier Partners- Jammer Doors & Massimino Building Corp\n\n\n\nBeer, food, and activities for kids of all ages set the stage for a fun-filled fall afternoon. Bring the whole family on Saturday, October 5th to the American Legion in Yardley for our 2nd Annual,open-to-the-public, OktoberFest-For-The-Vets! All Proceeds benefit the causes of the American Legion Post 317 (Yardley) and the Corporal Michael J Crescenz Veterans Medical Center in Philadelphia.\nOur Inaugural event, last year, over $5,000 in donations to support Recreation Activities for Veterans, restocking the Medical Center’s Donation Pantry, and providing over 60 Thanksgiving Meals for Home-Bound Veterans. We look to expand our support of these programs.\n\nWhat to Expect:\nDay Of Event:\n11:00 AM-First Tap. PROST!\n11:00-1:00- Live Music\n11:00 – 3:30:Kids Activities: Face Painting, Rock Painting, Bounce House, etc.\n12:00 – Storybook time by COMMOMPLACE READER.\n1:00-2:00 Masskrugstemmen (Stein Holding) (Sign-up from 11-12:45) – Men’s and Women’s and two kids rounds – Prizes Awarded\n2:30 – Kid’s Obstacle Course run by SPIRE FITNESS\n\n \nRaffle Sponsors:\nSpire Fitness, Burritos, Commonplace Reader, Capn’ Chuckies Crab Cake Co., Neshaminy Creek Brewing, Odd Logic Brewing, Vault Brewing, Panna Gelateria, Ye Olde Yardley Florist, The Cigar Barn, Shady Brook Farm, Sense Zero Float Center.\nEnjoy Beer, Food, and Fun activities with friends and family in an outdoor setting under a canopy of tall trees. Rotating Fest Biers from Local Supporting breweries to include Bitchin Kitten, Aristeaus, Neshaminy Creek Brewing, Newtown Brewing Company, Langhorne Brewing Company, SlyFox Brewing, Workhorse Brewing, Yards Brewing, and others.\nFood: Authentic Wursts, Pretzels, Hamburgers, Sodas, and Waters\nActivities:\nKids: Large Play Area for the Kids with Swings and Slides, Bounce House, Storytime with Yardley’s Commonplace Reader, Obstacle Course By Spire Fitness, Sidewalk Chalk, Rock Painting, Cornhole, Ladder Golf, Quoits\nAdults: Masskrugstemmen (Stein Holding) Competition (See Above Video) & Multiple Raffle Baskets Sponsored By Local Businesses\nEach admission ticket offers initial beer tickets. Additional Beer Tickets will be $5 each. Additional food and N/A drinks (water/soda) items will be $1-$5. All proceeds support our veterans.\nPLEASE NOTE: Alcohol can only be purchased and consumed by adults over 21. A valid id is required. All purchases are limited to two beers via that transaction. No outside alcoholic beverages, no pets, and no firearms. Parents are responsible for their children and anyone they bring under the age of 21, all minors must be supervised by an adult. Taps are off at 3:30 PM.\nOur Oktoberfest will be held rain or shine, please make necessary arrangements if it rains. Tickets are required for admission and will be available at the door for an increased price.\nFree Parking is available in the SEPTA South Lot, directly across from the event.
